Script P.I.M.P., LLC is a full-service screenplay analysis and resource hub designed for writers, producers, and film industry professionals.
For almost a decade, Script Pimp has been a leader in screenplay analysis, serving not only as a coverage service, but a link connecting up-and-coming writers and development executives. Through their composite directory, the Writers Database, Script Pimp has gathered the specific needs and submission guidelines of production and management companies, literary agencies, independent producers, and creative executives searching for scripts. Along with extensive resources, this information is available through their members-only Writers Database, where users may search through 1,300-plus listings. Database members have the ability to send inquires to our members-only E-mail for answer about writing, film, and the industry in general.
As well as annual screenplay and teleplay writing contests, Script Pimp continues to offer top-notch coverage services and the potential to have one's material circulated to production companies, agents, and managers through our Writers Workshop, which reviews screenplays, short scripts, and TV specs and pilots. Rave reviews and success stories continue to fuel the Workshop, as more and more writers benefit from Script Pimp’s wide array of offerings, from one-on-one consultations to basic story notes. This past year, the 2009 Screenwriting Competition garnered over 2,500 total entries, and the TV Writing Contest doubled in submissions from 2008.
Most recently, Rogues Gallery, a former Workshop "Recommend" screenplay written by Brian Watanabe, wrapped production in Los Angeles and is set for a 2010 release. In addition, 2008 contest winner Evan Daugherty, after introductions by Script Pimp, secured representation through Energy Entertainment and later landed a writing assignment with Warner Bros. to pen an adaptation of the classic animated series He-Man.

ADDITIONAL:
Main Function: Script Pimp, LLC is a full-service screenplay analysis and resource hub designed for writers (film and TV), producers, and industry professionals. Services include story analysis through our Writers Workshop and our Writers Database, which gives access to over 1,000 companies and executives searching for material. In addition, for the past seven years, Script Pimp has held annual screenplay and TV writing competitions.
For almost a decade, Script Pimp has established itself as one of the leaders among script consulting and writers' resource companies--not simply in the number of writers we've worked with and assisted (over 10,000), but in our success stories. We are, and always have been, thoroughly dedicated to moving the careers of writers and filmmakers forward. A number of Workshop Recommends have gone on to see their work optioned, sold, and produced. Mark Mahon, who received a Recommend on his script STRENGTH AND HONOR, later went on to produce and direct the film, which has won numerous awards and accolades in festivals worldwide. Most recently, former Recommend Brian Watanabe saw his screenplay ROGUES GALLERY produced, and one of our 2008 contest grand prize winners, Evan Daugherty, who we introduced to manager Jake Wagner (Energy Entertainment), landed a major writing assignment with Warner Bros. to pen an adaptation of the 1980s series HE-MAN entitled "Grayskull".
Not only do we offer a number of services and resources for writers, we've been careful not to overload our members and visitors with too many extraneous or unnecessary services, like a number of similar resource-based websites have done in the past. We've kept it simple, stayed true to our roots and the original vision of the company, and as a result, users understand exactly what we do and how we can assist with improving their craft. Industry professionals, too, see us as a filter, or matchmaker of sorts, between themselves and budding writers looking to either sell their spec, link up with an agent/manager, or find opportunities on writing assignments. Over 150 production companies and literary reps review our annual contest finalists, and we've been enormously successful in finding a home for scripts and introducing talented writers with the proper representation, something few other consulting/resource companies can do.
In 2009, we redesigned the entire look and feel of our site for better functionality and ease of use. We're currently in the process of adding new features and amending existing services to better suit all of our Writers Database members. As our resources expand, and our site is upgraded to fall in line with the latest trends and technologies, the Script Pimp user experience will become a truly rewarding asset to writers and filmmakers worldwide.
Most recently, Script Pimp was named one of the "Top 50 Websites for Filmmakers" by Moviemaker magazine in their August 2009 issue.
