Eric Bossick :: Onesheet

Although born in Pennsylvania, PA, it was in Canada and Singapore where Eric Bossick came of age. In high school he developed a passion for acting which led him to pursue classical acting training at the University of Victoria, BC, Canada, where he obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Eric worked steadily as an actor in Vancouver, BC, but sought to broaden his own life experiences through travel.  Eric’s current home is in Tokyo, Japan, where he has lived for over 10 years.

After arriving in Tokyo he was fascinated by the dance form of Ankoku Butoh, which he then studied for a period of four years under the tutelage of Tokyo’s prominent Butoh teachers. Eric performed both as a solo dancer and with a variety of dance groups at events and festivals throughout Japan and around the world.

Eric’s creativity spread further into new mediums with a study of photography beginning in 1998. Since then he has worked for many of Tokyo’s top magazines, shooting portraits of musicians, actors, dancers, and tattoos.

Throughout his years living in Japan he has appeared on television hundreds of times, appeared in movies, and has provided voiceover work and performed motion capture acting for major titles in the gaming industry, making him a highly recognizable face in the streets of Toyko. But it is his most recent role that has garnered him the most attention…

A long time fan of legendary filmmaker Tsukamoto Shinya, it was a great honor for Eric to have been welcomed into the TETSUO legacy, a classic icon of Japanese cinema, with his starring role in Tsukamoto’s latest, TETSUO: THE BULLET MAN.  The film premiered at the 66th annual Venice Film Festival in Fall 2009 and is slated for worldwide release in Summer 2010.
